Human Resources Assistant

Auburn Hills, Michigan, United States

Perform general clerical duties for Human Resources Department:

  • Maintain personnel, medical, short term disability, and workers compensation files. 
  • Maintain job postings.
  •  Prepare orientation packets.
  •  Complete new hire and termination paperwork.
  •  Complete verbal and written employment verifications.

Recruit and orient new employees for Hourly open positions:

  • Screen resumes/applications.
  • Set-up and conduct initial interviews with potential candidates.
  •  Conduct new hire orientation for hourly personnel.
  •  Coordinate advertisements, job postings, pre-employment physicals, etc.

Provide assistance to Human Resources Manager:

  • Administer attendance program.
  •  Answer general employee questions within the scope of job responsibilities.
  • Coordinate employee relations activities.

QUALIFICATIONS (Must have to be considered for the position):

  • 2 + years relevant work experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Well organized and decisive.
  •  Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  •  Strong problem solving skills.
  •  High level attention to detail.
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
